Summer/Fall 2012

I really can't be more happy that I have this blog. I use it mostly to update friends and {mostly} family, but today I'm thankful for documenting. Why? We just lost all. our. data. Sad. Our hard drive crashed and we lost all of our documents/media that we had saved. So, that being said, I knew that I had some pictures.... on this blog! Here I am, thankful once again for pictures!

Way back when, our the Docs in our office took us to their lake house for a relaxing day with all my co-workers. So fun!

Steffen & co. played at the Starry night festival!

Starry night

We got to see Paper Route perform their new album, and it was one of the best shows in a while!
Our dearest friend Kim came from Minneapolis, and we did some Indiana sightseeing with her. She didn't stay long enough.

We had a house show in our basement, which turned out to be so wonderful! Lots of friends, food, and good music. What more?

The one and only, John Davey!

He's 13 again.

Our friend had her 20th birthday, and we were instructed to wear hats.

Fall, much?!

Steffen and our dear friend Dave spent some quality time crawdad fishin. or hunting. catching?

My friend Megan and I ran a 5K together! She got SECOND in our age division, and it was her first time running three miles! She left me in the dust, but it's been fun trying to challenge myself physically.

Yet another show by Steffen & friends!

Summer 2012

Another pictorial update of my life full of blessings!

And so started the trip to South Dakota to visit mom and Dad! We had a great trip over with Frank & Cher.

Badlands.

South Dakota: The best sunsets since.... well, creation.

Ginger!
She remembered me, I'm pretty sure. She was gold the whole time I roamed across the Black Hills on her back

Not only the best sunsets, but the BEST stars. Sat out and watched them every night.

Dad took us on a 12 mile scavenger hunt on the governments newly purchased property that is now supposed to be an Elk sanctuary.

Mom and Dad's place is so great. And they started with just a hill of grass and trees.....

iMiss.

goober!

I know! So gorgeous. I could look at this forever. Creation is so beautiful.
I love my family. So blessed.

Reed took all of us cliff diving again. So fun!

My 2nd 5k with my friends! I beat my last time, but I still have a ways to go. I've still been going strong with my weight loss, which is largely impacted by the people that surround me that are so encouraging to me!!! Check out my weight loss blog herehttp://consistentcompanion.blogspot.com/2012/07/5k-2011-2012.html
I've been tending to my small garden and LOVE it. So fun to harvest the fruit of my labor. Creation is so fascinating.

Took a trip to Nashville, TN to spend some time with the in-laws and fam. Look at that gummy smile!

Amber & I enjoying the park!

These kiddos are so loved.

Botanical garden: so gorgeous!

This botanical garden in Nashville had tree houses... of course this one was made of hundreds of CDs for the shimmer of the fish. Cool, huh?

We celebrated our 4th anniversary... and man am I blessed to have a wonderful husband.
Steffen surprised me with a trip to downtown Indy!

Scouted out Indianapolis for new coffee shops.
